National Drowning Prevention Week is a week long public education campaign that promotes Water Smart messaging accross Canada. Drowning Prevention Week runs the third week in July each year, hitting the peak of aquatic recreation activity. With the help of many Affiliates and partners, many activities are held around the province of Saskatchewan in lakes, parks, and pools. Tha main messages of the campaign are presented through fun and creative activites, displays, and demonstrations. Each year proclamations from mayors and media interest help bring attention to this campaign.
The 2016 Drowning Prevention Week will run from July 17th, to July 23rd.
